The European Conference on Information Literacy (ECIL) is initiated and organized by the Department of Information Management of Hacettepe University and Department of Information and Communication Sciences of Zagreb University. Starting from 2017 InLitAs became one of the main organizers.

The sixth ECIL conference, the main theme of which is Information Literacy in Everyday Life, will be co-organized and hosted by the University of Oulu, from 24-27 September 2018, at Hotel Lasaretti, Oulu, Finland.
